SEYMOUR, CT: Evelyn V. (Walters) Kelly, age 92 of Seymour, formerly of Burnsford Avenue, Bridgeport entered into peaceful rest April 13, 2004 at her home with her devoted family by her side; she was the beloved wife of the late James H. Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was born February 24, 1912 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Julius and Alice (London) Walters. Evelyn was a resident of Bridgeport before moving to Seymour seven years ago. She was retired from the housekeeping department of the University of Bridgeport; a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour, and a former communicant of St. Patrick’s Parish, Bridgeport.
Evelyn leaves her loving family including her son, James H. Kelly and his wife Barbara of Milford, her daughter, Marilyn (Kelly) McGinley and her husband Leo of Seymour with whom she made her home, two grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Kelly and James Michael Kelly both of Milford. Her brother Cyril and sisters, Marie Ganung and Alice Johnson predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour to the Church of the Good Shepherd where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
