Obituary for Frances Atkas

SEYMOUR, CT: Frances Atkas, age 81 who was residing in Denver, PA for the past 2 years, formerly of Bungay Road, Seymour for most of her life, entered into rest January 24, 2002 in Ephrata, PA; she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Atkas, Sr.
Mr. Atkas was born July 4, 1920 in Meriden, daughter of the late John and Mary Marino. Frances was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd.
Mrs. Atkas leaves her loving family including: 1 son John Paul Atkas, Jr. of Severn, MD, 1 daughter Marilyn Hanlon of Denver, PA, 4 grandchildren, Christopher Hanlon of Lancaster, PA, Bryce Hanlon in VA, Sara Albertson, and Megan Atkas both in PA, 1 great grandson, Guthrie Albertson of Lancaster, PA.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 9, 2002 in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour at 11:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.
