Obituary for Frederick Kravec

SEYMOUR, CT: Frederick Kravec, age 84 of Emma Street entered into peaceful rest November 30, 2003 at the Birmingham Health Center, Derby; he was the beloved husband of Anna (Biondi) Kravec. Mr. Kravec was born March 10, 1919 in Ansonia, son of the late Peter and Mary (Karpinowich) Kravec, Sirowich. He was a Seymour resident since 1948, and was retired from the Bic Pen Corp., Milford, and also from the B.F. Goodrich, Sponge Rubber Co, formerly in Shelton. Frederick was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour; he was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WW II serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. Mr. Kravec was a sports enthusiast, and especially was a fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team.
Besides his wife Frederick leaves his loving family including two daughters, Gloria Willoughby and her husband Harold of West Haven, and Patricia Kravec of Seymour, a brother Tony Sirowich and his wife Irene of Shelton, a sister Ann Grillo of Ansonia, five grandchildren, Rachel Sewitsky and her husband James of Ansonia, Anthony Benedetti of Seymour, Glenn Willoughby and his wife Sylvia of Hamden, Denise Willoughby of Branford, and Renee Willoughby of West Haven, a great grandson Garrett Willoughby of Hamden, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to the Church of the Good Shepherd where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
