SEYMOUR, CT: Gertrude "Trudy" Kuczynski, age 85 a lifelong Seymour resident entered into peaceful rest November 4, 2011 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby. She was born June 2, 1926 in Derby, daughter of the late Frank, Sr. and Anna (Mikolaitis) Kuczynski. Trudy was a retired secretary from the Kerite Co., and also from the S.B. Church Co., Oxford. She was a member of both Seymour and Oxford Senior Centers, Gertrude enjoyed reading, knitting and doing volunteer work.
Gertrude leaves her loving family including, 5 sisters, Janet Carrington, of Bethany, Regina Michaels and Wanda Podgewaite both of Seymour, Nellie Reese in CA, and Barbara Hoppe of Oklahoma City, OK, also several nieces and nephews. Her brothers Henry and Frank Kuczynski, Jr. predeceased her.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery. Calling hours are also Tuesday prior to the service from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made to either the Seymour or Oxford Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
