Gladys Marie Stuart
SEYMOUR, CT: Gladys Marie Stuart, 91 formerly of Union Street, entered into peaceful rest March 23, 2003 at the Hartford Hospital, she was the beloved wife of the late Charles W. Stuart, Jr. Mrs. Stuart was born January 1, 1912 in Ansonia, daughter of the late John G. and Minnie (Bernbaum) Friers. She was a Seymour resident for most of her life, and for the past four years she resided at the Glastonbury Health Care Center. Gladys was a homemaker, and retired proprietor of the former Pennyroyal Barn in Seymour where she was a dealer and collector of antiques. She was communicant of the Seymour Congregational Church.
She leaves her loving son Charles E. Stuart and his wife Kathleen of Marlborough, and her two cherished grandchildren, James C. Stuart of Middletown, and Anne E. Stuart of Palmer, MA. Her brothers John, Leonard, and Edward Friers predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to the Seymour Congregational Church for 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Seymour Congregational Cemetery.
