SEYMOUR, CT: Gloria (Cavazuti) Filipowich of Seymour died peacefully on her 86th birthday, May 6, 2012 at CT Hospice, Branford surrounded by her family. Mrs. Filipowich was born on May 6, 1926 in Hamden to the late Bonfiglio and Severina (Benotti) Cavazuti.
She was the wife of the late Paul Filipowich, Jr.; mother of Paul Filipowich, III. and his wife Diana of Oxford, Robert Filipowich and his wife Susan of Fairfield, James Filipowich and his wife Cynthia of Seymour, and Laura F. Mazzarella and her fiancé Mark Reddy of Columbia, MD. She also leaves her grandchildren, P. Brian Filipowich, Rebecca F. Wilson and her husband John, Kathryn M. Ledesma and her husband Michael, Dana and Mark Mazzarella, and Jordan, Nina, and Maggie Leigh Filipowich, and great granddaughter, Fiona Ann Wilson, and several nieces and nephews. Her two brothers and four sisters predeceased her.

She and her late husband founded Paul Filipowich and Company CPAs, of Seymour, and she was a communicant of Three Saints Orthodox Church, Ansonia. Gloria's family and friends will miss her spontaneous laughter, love, and friendship; she will be fondly remembered for devoting her life to the loving care and support of her husband and family.

Funeral services are private. Interment will be in Three Saints Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St., Seymour.
