SEYMOUR, CT: Grace H, Kummer age 85 of Derby Avenue entered into rest May 15, 2002 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter J. Kummer, Sr.
Mrs. Kummer was born October 20, 1916 in Derby, daughter of the late William J.and Mary Donovan Hickey. She was a Seymour resident since 1946, and was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Grace was a retired special education reading teacher for more than 25 years in the Middlebury-Southbury school systems; she retired in 1984. Grace held a MA degree in Education, and a BA in Sociology with a 6th year degree in reading from Albertus Magnus College.
She leaves her loving family including 2 sons, Walter J. Kummer, Jr. and his wife Sandra of Seymour, and Kenneth W. Kummer and his wife Bethia of North Olmsted, OH. 1 sister Elizabeth DuPaul of Seymour, and 5 grandsons, Walter Kummer, Joseph Kummer, and Steven Kummer all of Seymour, and Jesse Kummer, and Rory KUMMER BOTH OF NORTH OLMSTED, OH HER BROTHER ROBERT AND HER SISTER MARY PREDECEASED HER.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD MONDAY AT 9:15 A.M. FROM THE RALPH E. HULL FUNERAL HOME, 161 WEST CHURCH STREET, SEYMOUR TO THE CHURCH OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD WHERE A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL WILL BE CELEBRATED AT 10:00 A.M. INTERMENT WILL BE IN MT. ST.
