Beacon Falls, Harriett H. (Kolenda) Hagen, 90, of Beacon Falls, entered into eternal peaceful rest at her home on Thursday, April 10, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph W. Hagen Sr. Harriett was born on January 11, 1918, in Seymour, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Jozef and Amelia Kolenda . Harriett retired in (1977) from G&R Manufacturing where she worked as an assembler. A loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, Harriett is survived by her son Joseph W. Hagen Jr. and his wife Carol of Beacon Falls, two daughters: Lydia L. Sewitsky and her husband James of Beacon Falls, Cynthia Sewitsky and her husband Walter of Beacon Falls, her six grandsons: James, David William; James, Thomas and Matthew, nine great-grandchildren, one niece and two nephews.
A funeral procession will gather by 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15th, at Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Michael’s Church, in Beacon Falls. Internment will be in Saint James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Harriett’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14th at Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home.
