SEYMOUR, CT : Hazel M. Chin, age 80 of Seymour, formerly of Winston Salem, NC went Home to the Lord March 8, 2012, she passed at Birmingham Health Center, Derby; she was wife of the late Chance C. Chin, Sr. Hazel was born Feb. 7, 1932 in Winston Salem, daughter of the late Horace Nesbitt and Laura Bohannon. She was retired from the Circuit Court- Family Relations in Bridgeport . She was a member of the Seymour Foursquare Gospel Church , and will be fondly remembered for her many years of volunteer work and helping many people.



Hazel leaves her loving family including her step-mother, Elizabeth Nesbitt of Winston Salem, 2 sons, Chance Chin, Jr., Albany, NY, and Christopher Chinova (Michelle) Watertown, 2 daughters, Carol Donofrio (Philip), Seymour, and Cheryl Chin, Danbury, a brother, Norman Moore, 3 sisters, Thessalonia Jenkins, Mary Ford, and Irene Smith; 2 step-brothers, William and Howard Miller; 3 step-sisters, Dorothy Tanner, Yolander Bailey, and Margaret Poston all of Winston Salem, NC; 17 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved her. Her brothers, Aaron, Leander, Bernard, and Robert predeceased her.



A funeral service in celebration of Hazel’s life will be Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. , Seymour . Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery , Bridgeport .
