Mrs. Helen Behuniak, age 90 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Theodore “Ted” Behuniak, Sr. passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 in Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour.

She was born on February 13, 1920 in Dillonvale, Ohio daughter of the late Alex and Margaret (Macknofski) Konikowski. Mrs. Behuniak worked in the Computer Department at the former Uniroyal headquarters in Middlebury until her retirement in 1962. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and attended Trinity Church with her husband, Ted. She was a member of the Emil Senger Post 10 American Legion Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking. She was a sports enthusiast, especially UCONN Women’s Basketball. She was also very patriotic American.


Mrs. Behuniak is survived by her daughter in law, Susan Behuniak of Seymour and her sister in law, Sharon Konnik of Seymour and several nieces and nephews. Her three sons, Thomas, Theodore, Jr. and Leonard Behuniak and four brothers, Thomas and Edward Konnik, Sr. and Frank and Alexander Konikowski predeceased her.


A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour at 10:00 a.m. followed be a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Interment will be held in the spring in Saint Augustine’s Cemetery, Seymour. Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
