Jean E. Bower, age 79, of Meriden, formerly of Florida and Seymour, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 in Masonic Care in Wallingford.

She was born on August 20, 1933 in Waterbury and was the daughter of the late Harold S. and Bertha H. (Borsuch) Bower. Ms. Bower was a Pediatric Registered Nurse for many years. She was a graduate of Meriden-Wallingford School of Nursing in 1954 and Post Graduate of John Hopkins Children’s Hospital in Washington, DC. She was a communicant of Calvary Baptist Church in Meriden and a member of the Meriden Hospital Alumni Association.

Ms. Bower is survived by her sister, Elsie Tyler of Ansonia and three nieces, Lynn McConney, Donna Rosevear, Carol Tyler and a nephew, Gary Tyler. She was predeceased by two brothers, Robert and Harold Bower and a sister, Helen Moffitt.
