Beacon Falls, CT: Jeanne Marie Knapp age 66 of Beacon Falls, entered into peaceful rest surrounded by her devoted family on February 22, 2011 at CT Hospice, Branford; she was the beloved wife of John E. Knapp. Mrs. Knapp was born in Miami, FL on June 17, 1944, daughter of May (Zollo) Cancellaro of Naugatuck, and the late Eugene Cancellaro. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and also graduated from the Catherine Laboure School of Nursing where she received a degree in Nursing. Jeanne was the retired Director of Nursing at the Marshall Lane Manor, Derby where she was employed for twenty years; she subsequently retired from the VNA. Mrs. Knapp was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Oxford. Jeanne was an avid New York Yankees Fan and she enjoyed cooking, reading and being with her family. She will be fondly remembered for her devotion as a wonderful mother and wife to her family.

In addition to her husband, Jeanne leaves her loving family including, two devoted sons, Mark C. Sarasin, of Beacon Falls, and Jeff Sarasin, of Oxford, and her cherished grandson, Matthew Sarasin, of Oxford.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 1 in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 733 Oxford Road, Oxford at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Memorial gifts may be sent to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
