Obituary for Joseph C. Kopec

SEYMOUR, CT: Joseph C. Kopec, age 86 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest June 24th at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; he was the beloved husband of sixty-one years to Janet (McCusker) Kopec. Mr. Kopec was born February 12, 1922 in Derby, son of the late Frank and Sophia (Karkut) Kopec. Joseph was a longtime Seymour resident and was a retired Custodian from the Seymour School System; prior to that he was employed by the former Chatfield Dairy in Seymour.
In addition to his wife, Joseph leaves his loving family including, his daughter, Janet Narcisco of Seymour, and her companion Edward Woods of North Branford, two brothers, Mitchell Kopec and his wife Sandra of Seymour, and Thadeus Kopec of Huntington, two sisters, Ann Gucwa of Shelton, and Tessie Nizgorski and her husband Walter of Derby, his two cherished grandchildren "whom were his life", Jessica and Frank Narcisco of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Joseph’s life will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Northwest Cemetery, Woodbridge.
