Seymour, CT: Louis J. Colella age 90 of Seymour, a former longtime resident of West Haven entered into peaceful rest January 4, 2009 at the Hospital of St. Raphael, New Haven. He was the beloved husband of more that 65 years to Josephine (Canetti) Colella. Louis was a graduate of Boardman Trade School, and following his career he retired as a Linotype Operator for 27 years from the former Wilson H. Lee Company in Orange. Mr. Colella was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran. Louis enjoyed sports and especially duck pin bowling. He and his wife Josephine shared a love of square dancing and had been members of several square dancing clubs. Louis also resided in Beacon Falls for 5 years. In addition to his wife, Louis leaves his loving family including his son, Joseph L. Colella of North Branford,a son in law Anthony San Angelo of Beacon Falls, two brothers, Arthur and Joseph Colella both of Las Vegas, NV, two grandchildren, Marc San Angelo of Norwalk, and Gina Volpacchio of Seymour, two great grandchildren, Christina and Alexa Volpacchio of Seymour, and several nieces and nephews. His daughter Marie A. San Angelo predeceased him. Funeral services will be announced. There are no calling hours.
