Obituary for Margaret Irene Lacey (Zboray)

Margaret Irene  Lacey (Zboray)
Mrs. Margaret Irene (Zboray) Lacey, age 91, of Southbury and formerly of New York, beloved wife of the late George A. Lacey, entered into peacefully rest on August 3, 2011 at River Glen Health Care Center, Southbury.

She was born on June 3, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Julius and Bertha (Thomas) Zboray. Mrs. Lacey was a member of the Holy Rosary Society and the Senior Club in NY and was also an avid bowler.

Mrs. Lacey is survived by her devoted daughter, Susan Mole and her husband, Clifford of Oxford, two grandchildren, David Mole and his wife, Pam of Meriden and Karen Mole of Waterbury, two great grandchildren, Trevor and Carly Mole and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, her daughter, Gloria Lacey, and her brothers and sisters, Mae Sturzenacker, Ann Schmidt, Emily Schmidt and Julius “Charlie” Zboray predeceased her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 9 at 9:15 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Interment to follow in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alzheimer’s Association or the American Diabetes Association, please contact the funeral director for addresses.
