Obituary for Mary Dulka (Slinka)

Seymour, Ct. Mary (Slinka) Dulka of Seymour, and most recently of Shelton Lakes Skilled Care Facility, passed away with her family by her side Monday, April 28, 2008 at the Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT. She was the wife of the late Edward H. Dulka. She was predeceased by her siblings Mike, Andy, John, William (Topsy) and Ann Slinka. She is survived by two sons, Edward J. Dulka of Seymour and David Dulka of Statesville, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Kimberly Dulka of Seymour, Heather Dulka and her husband John Shea, also of Seymour, a grandson, David Dulka Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Statesville, North Carolina. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Tyler Shea of Seymour, Karlie Gottschalk and Austin Dulka of Statesville, North Carolina as well as her beloved dog, Buster.
Mary was born November, 10, 1925. After many years of working on the family farm, she worked at Winchester in New Haven, Gordon Rubber in Derby, as well as Seymour Furniture. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Seymour, CT. In her retirement, she enjoyed spending time on the farm watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. A service of Requiem Eucharist will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, 91 Church Street, Seymour . Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Griffin Hospital Cardiac Rehabilitation, in care of the Griffin Development Fund, 130 Division St., Derby, CT 06418.
