Obituary for Mary I. Ostaszeski (Morris)

SEYMOUR, CT: Mary I. Ostaszeski, age 77 entered into peaceful rest February 1st at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of fifty nine years to M. Richard Ostaszeski. Mary was born November 6, 1930 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Herbert J., Sr. and Mabel (Parmelee) Morris. Mrs. Ostaszeski was a retired Executive Secretary for the family business, ELMAC, Inc. in Seymour, and was formerly employed as a secretary at the former Seymour Manufacturing Co., and Uniroyal. She was a communicant of Saint Joseph’s Church, Ansonia, and was a member of the Ansonia Polish Falcons Club, Falcon Nest. In addition to her husband, Mary leaves her loving family including three daughters, Jane Ostaszeski of Seymour, Linda Pol and her husband Kenneth of Meriden, and Mary Anne Ostaszeski of Seymour, five siblings, Sally Pierpont of Stratford, Dorothy Bartimole of Oxford, Herbert J. Morris, Jr. of Stratford, George Morris of Oxford, and Judy Morris of Prosperity, SC, two cherished granddaughters, Heather and Corrie Pol of Meriden, and several nieces and nephews. Her sister, Clara Blizzard and brother, William Morris predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to Saint Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett Street, Ansonia where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Derby.
