SEYMOUR, CT: Mary Smerekanicz, 83 daughter of the late Anna and Nicholas Smerekanicz of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on September 23, 2003 at the Shady Knoll Health Center. She was retired from the Seymour Brass Turning Company. She is survived by brothers Matro and Paul Smerekanicz, and sisters Helen Smerekanicz, Julia Yester, Lillian Wisneski, Paulette Smith, and Patricia Baker. She was predeceased by brothers William, John, Louis, and Joseph, and a sister Dorothy Bates. There will be no calling hours. The funeral and burial will be private.
