BEACON FALLS, CT: Matthew Bob Mihalcik, age 23 of Beacon Falls entered into peaceful rest October 6, 2010 at the Waterbury Hospital. He was born March 8, 1987 in Waterbury, beloved son of Michelle (Morris) Mihalcik of Beacon Falls, and the late John Joseph Mihalcik, Sr. Matthew was a lifelong resident of Beacon Falls, and was a former student at Woodland High School. He was presently employed by Staff Works of Seymour. Mr. Mihalcik was in the process of becoming a Volunteer Firefighter with the Beacon Hose Co, and was also interested in becoming and EMT. In addition to his mother, Matthew leaves his loving family including two brothers, William Mihalcik of Beacon Falls, and John Mihalcik, Jr. of North Haven, his maternal grandfather, Bobby Jack Morris and his wife Patricia of Linn Creek, MO, paternal grandparents, Faye and Steve Mihalcik in New Hampshire, his uncle, Michael Stephen Morris and his wife Cynthia of Sonoma, CA, his nephew Thomas John and nieces Jasmyne and Jacinda. In addition to his father, Matthew was predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Joan Morris.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. There are no additional services.
