NORWICH: Miss Melinda “Mindy” Downs, age 59, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 in Regency Heights of Norwich.

She was born on April 23, 1951 in New Haven. Mindy is the beloved daughter of Jerome A. and Martha L. (Liebman) Downs of Bethany. For many years, she enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics.

In addition to her parents, Mindy leaves her devoted sister and brothers, Marcy Smith and her husband Richard of Alstead, NH, Curtiss Downs and his wife Kay of Bethany and Kent Downs and his wife Tracy of Columbia and several nieces and nephews.
