Nina Kordick Mongillo
ORANGE and DERBY, CT: Nina Kordick Mongillo, 85 of Indian River Road, entered into peaceful rest February 26, 2003 at the Hospital of Saint Raphael, New Haven; she was the beloved wife of the late James A. Mongillo. Mrs. Mongillo was born August 4, 1917 in Seymour, daughter of the late Michael and Josephine Kordick. She resided in Derby on Shagbark Drive for twenty five years before moving to Orange two years ago. Nina was a communicant of St. Jude Church, Derby, and was a retired assembler from the Burndy Corp., Milford where she was employed for many years. Mrs. Mongillo enjoyed knitting and cooking.
Nina leaves her loving family including one son, James Mongillo of Los Altos Hills, CA. Three sisters, Lydia Kutzli of Dania, FL, Valentine Paulus of Seymour, and Dorothy Napierkowski of Jacksonville, FL. Three grandchildren, Steven Mongillo of Seattle, WA, Megan Crist of Albuquerque, NM, and Cynthia Hummelbrunner of Rockville, MD. Two great grandchildren, Kelsey and Kyle Chist of Albuquerque, NM. One niece, Jennifer Paulus of East Haven, and three nephews, Gregory, Kevin, and Daniel Paulus all of West Haven; she also leaves several grand nieces and nephews. Nina’s brothers, Albert and Harry Kordick, and sisters, Olga Hardy, and Jean Kordick predeceased her.
A private funeral service was held. There were no calling hours. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour.
