SEYMOUR, CT: Pauline Chegin, age 89 of Seymour entered peaceful rest April 18, 2014 at the Hewitt Health and Rehab Center, Shelton. She was born March 18, 1925 in Seymour, daughter of the late Peter and Anna (Okal) Chegin. She graduated from Seymour Schools and received her Banking Diploma from Sacred Heart University, Fairfield. Pauline was retired from the former Waterman Pen Co., Seymour Manufacturing, and CBT Bank. She was a communicant of St. Peter and St. Paul Church, Ansonia where she formerly sang in the choir and had served as Church Secretary for Father Lar. Pauline loved to play the piano, and enjoyed cooking, gardening, and crocheting.

Pauline leaves her loving family including her niece and caregiver, Anna Zinsmeister of Seymour, and several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and great grand nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her brothers, Paul, Willy, and John, Chegin, and Stephen and John Chagin, and sisters, Dorothy Zinsmeister, Mary Chegin, and Helen Szulz predeceased her.

Calling Hours are Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour with a service of Panikhida at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Peter and St. Paul Church, 105 Clifton Ave., Ansonia where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Peter and St. Paul Cemetery, Derby.
