Pearl Lilley
DERBY, CT: Pearl M. Lilley, age 87 formerly of 44 Chapel Street, entered into rest February 15, 2002 at Harborside Healthcare, Arden House, Hamden. She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. Lilley.
Mrs. Lilley was born January 29, 1915 in Bethel, NY, daughter of the late Aldon and Ethel Bovee MacRabie. Pearl resided at Arden House for the past 11 years, formerly of Derby and Seymour. Prior to her illness with Alzheimer’s Disease, she was active in her church, and was a former member of the Democratic Women’s Club. Pearl retired in 1981 from the Valley Dress Shop as a seamstress/ dressmaker. She was a former volunteer at the Griffin Hospital.
She leaves her loving family including; her daughter Betty J. Smith of Hamden, 4 sisters, Hilda Shaver of Warsaw, VA, Peg Odendahl of Mocksville, NC, and Hope Brown of Farnham, VA., and Helena Brown of Wingdale, NY 7 grandchildren, Debra Senetcky of Winsted, Pamela Santon of Elmira, NY, Melissa Lewandowski of Welfleet, MA, Kirstie Smith of Hamden, Warren Nesteruk of Wilton, Darren Nesteruk of Oxford, and Duane Nesteruk of Ansonia. Also 12 great grandchildren. Her brothers, Verner and Robert MacRabie predeceased her.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwel Ave., Hamden, CT 06517.
