Obituary for Ralph B. Chase

SEYMOUR, CT: Ralph B. Chase age 98 of West Church Street entered into rest November 11, 2002 at the Hewitt Memorial Hospital, Shelton. Mr. Chase was born September 22, 1904 in Oxbridge, MA, son of the late George Collins and Jennie Lorinda (Tifft) Chase. Ralph grew up in Seymour, and moved to Southbury where he resided for 40 years, he then moved back to Seymour following his retirement. He was retired deliveryman for Home Gas Company where he worked for more than 25 years. Mr. Chase had served in the National Guard, had formerly played Fife and bugle in a fife and drum corps, but most important to him was his family and spending time gardening, fishing and the outdoors.
He leaves hi loving family including 3 daughters, Lorraine Vivian Chase of Meriden, Jenny Lynne Ferance of Marathon, NY, and Ruth Chase in New Hampshire. He also leaves 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great, great grandson. His brother George, and his sisters Marion Russell, Emma Chase, and Edith Chase predeceased him.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Trinity Cemetery.
