Obituary for Regina C. Stupic (Alvino)

Regina C.  Stupic (Alvino)
SEYMOUR, CT: Regina C. Stupic, age 68 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest October 28, 2011 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of Josip Stupic. Mrs. Stupic was born March 27, 1943 in Orange, NJ, daughter of the late Attilio and Maria (Brienza) Alvino. She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour, and also of St. Joseph Church, Shelton. She earned degrees from Douglas College in New Jersey, and Indiana University. Mrs. Stupic resided in Seymour since 1977, and was involved in Social Work, and was an Adjunct Lecturer at Southern and Western Ct. State Universities, and also Albertus Magnus and Sacred Heart Universities. She enjoyed Anthropology and writing poetry; Regina was an accomplished scholar and caregiver, but she will be mostly remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Regina leaves her loving family including a son Col. Joseph Stupic U.S. Air Force, and his wife Gaylene of Edmond, OK, and a daughter, Karen Stupic and her husband Brian Singer of St. Paul, MN, two sisters, Barbara Young of Flemington, NJ, and Pauline Jenson of Princeton, NJ, four grandchildren, Blake and Grant, and Evan and Cora, and several nieces and nephews. Her sister Edith Scarpa predeceased her.

Funeral services will be Monday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road, Seymour where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mountain Meadows Cemetery.
