Mr. Robert A. “Turk” Hessler, age 64, of Oxford, beloved fiancé of Sharon Morton, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Hessler was born on January 16, 1947 in Derby and the son of the late Albert and Louise (Kozloski) Hessler. He was a self employed carpenter for many years. Mr. Hessler enjoyed gardening, horseshoes and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR Racing fan and loved his dogs.

In addition to his fiancé, Mr. Hessler leaves his brother, Richard Hessler of Woodbury and his two sisters, Joan Porterie and her husband Gaston of Washington and Diane Peters and her husband Dale of Beacon Falls and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Animal Shelter, 486 Oxford Road, Oxford, CT 06478. Interment will be held in private.
