BEACON FALLS, CT: Rose Sheehy, age 85 of Highland Avenue, entered into peaceful rest February 22, 2003, at the Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour; she was the beloved wife of the late Raymond Sheehy. Rose was born June 1, 1917 in Seymour, daughter of the late Joseph and Sophia (Chuck) Ocxkowski. She resided in Beacon Falls for 20 years, formerly of Derby. Mrs. Sheehy was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church, and was a former communicant of St. Jude’s Parish, Derby where she and her late husband were instrumental in the formation and fund raising for building the church there; she also served as an officer of the Ladies Guild. Rose was a retiree of the Uniroyal Corp., Naugatuck where she worked for 25 years.
Mrs. Sheehy leaves her loving family including 1 daughter, Kathleen Osowiecki and her husband Stanley P. of Beacon Falls, 2 sisters, Elizabeth Hale, and Helen Czerwinski both of Seymour. 1 grandson Stanley T Osowiecki and his wife Marybeth of Fairfield. 1 granddaughter, Kristen Miller and her husband David of Beacon Falls, and her great grandson Jake Raymond Miller of Beacon Falls. She also leaves several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to St. Michael’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
