Obituary for Shirley Kelly

SEYMOUR, CT: Shirley A. Kelly, age 77 of Henry Street entered into peaceful rest January 4, 2004 at the CT Hospice, Branford, she was the beloved wife of the late John "Jack" Kelly. Mrs. Kelly was born December 30, 1927 in Derby, daughter of the late George and Mabel (Bailey) Benedict. She was a retired Vice President of the former Custom Wire Company in Seymour, and was also retired from the former B.F. Goodrich Co., in Shelton; she resided in Seymour for forty seven years. Shirley enjoyed shopping, playing cards, and reading but most importantly was the care she was able to give to her grandchildren.
Shirley leaves her loving family including a son William Kelly of Kurtistown, HI, three daughters, Sharon Farrell of Adena, OH, Lorraine Conlon of East Haven, and Diane Casper of Cleveland, TX, a sister Marjorie Johnson in New York, five grandchildren, Kelly Baker, Kimberly Warecke, Sean Patrick Taylor, Nicole Taylor, and Brooke Casper, two great grandsons, Jordan Michael Warecke, and Riley John Warecke, also several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service in celebration of Shirley’s life will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia.
