William Francis Hlywa, age 77, of Daytona Beach, FL and formerly of Trumbull entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2014 at Halifax Hospital in Daytona Beach, FL.
He was born on May 9, 1936 in Derby and was the son of the late John and Mary (Gracon) Hlywa. Mr. Hlywa was an engineer for Sikorsky Airport in Stratford for many years before his retirement.
He is survived by a son, John Hlywa (Deborah) of Palm City, FL and three daughters, Janice Lombardo (Joe) of Monroe, June Peck of Sherrill, NY and Jean Gorton of Huntington and four grandchildren, Carly, Joseph, Taylor and Jocelyn and the mother of his children, June Hlywa of Trumbull. Mr. Hlywa also leaves his sister, Lillian Hashim of Palmetto, FL and several nieces and nephews. His son in law, Ronald Gorton and his sister, Anna Miller predeceased him.
