Mr. William Robert Dziadik, age 79, beloved husband of 40 years to Lorraine (Salerno) Dziadik of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on February 3, 1931 in Derby to the late William and Hedwig (Torwich) Dziadik. Mr. Dziadik was a U.S. Army Veteran and Ranger serving during the Korean War. He worked at the Public Works & Permits Department for the State of CT, Department of Transportation for many years and was also a part time driver for Daddio’s Used Auto Parts where he was known as “Uncle Bob.” Mr. Dziadik was an avid supporter of the Seymour High School Boys Soccer Team, George J. Hummel Little League Softball and Seymour Tradition Softball. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, festivals and going to concerts, but most of all being with his cherished grandchildren.

In addition to his devoted wife, he leaves two loving sons, Robert Dziadik of Florida and Keith Mayers and his wife Laura and two grandchildren, Kyle and Rachel Mayers all of Seymour. He also leaves an aunt, many nieces and nephews and several cousins.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 2 at 10:30 a.m. in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour. Interment to follow with military honors at St. Peter & St. Paul Cemetery, Derby. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
