SEYMOUR, CT: Zigmont J. Evenski, 96 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest Feb. 10, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 60 Years to Gladys (Swirski) Evenski. Zigmont was born July 10, 1915 in Waterbury, son of the late Chester F. and Bertha (Ciesinski) Evenski. He was retired from the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. Mr. Evenski was a WW II US Army Veteran and was a member of the Emil Senger, Post 10, American Legion, Seymour, and the V.F.W. He was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, and the Aurora Council Knights of Columbus. Mr. Evenski was a member and Past President of the Seymour Lions Club; he also served on the Reunion Committee for the Seymour High School Class of 1933. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Zigmont leaves his loving family including 2 sons, Mark M. Evenski of Seymour, and John M. Evenski (Cindy) of Naugatuck, a daughter, Maureen E. Adamczyk of Bethany, a brother Edward Evenski of Shelton, 4 grandchildren, Victoria and Michael Adamczyk, and Molly and Rebecca Evenski and several nieces and nephews. His sister Jeanette E. Hoffert predeceased him.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St., Seymour to Good Shepherd Church, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment with full Military Honors will be in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
