I worked with Frannie at the old Olin Brass Mill in New Haven from 1971 until it closed in 1979. Frannie was a great guy to work with, he was very reasonable and helped in every way he could. Things can get very unpleasant in the environment that exists in a big, noisy, hot, dirty plant like that one was, and even under the worst conditions, it seemed like Frannie always had a grin trying to break through. I hadn't seen him since the mill closed, but am saddened by his passing. I was surprised to learn he had been a constable in Oxford, since I had probably been a source of annoyance to most of the constables there (due to my adolescent driving habits, long gone now).
