SEYMOUR, CT: Marian A. Christensen, 68 of Seymour entered into peaceful rest May 15, 2011 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby; she was the beloved wife of 51 years to Charles W., Christensen, Sr. Mrs. Christensen was born November 20, 1942 in Derby, daughter of the late Anthony and Blanche (Brazaitis) Macknis. She retired from the Food Services Dept. of Griffin Hospital where she worked for 25 years, she later retired from the Seymour Stop and Shop. Marian was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour; she graduated from Assumption School, Ansonia, and Ansonia High School. She will be fondly remembered for her love of her family and her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she leaves her loving family including, a son, Charles Christensen, Jr. and his wife Jeannine of Oxford, 4 daughters, Marian Boffen of Naugatuck, Carolyn Deptula of Ludlow, MA, Elaine DeLillo and her husband Dominic of Hamden, and Lee Ives and her husband David of Oxford, 3 sisters, Adele Kasinskas of Cheshire, Carol Macknis of College Park, MD, and Kathy Talley of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 12 grandchildren, Karin, Jerry, Kelly, Stephen, Kyle, Gracie, Jessica, Michael, Nicole, David, Alyssa, and Brandon, her great grandson, Christian, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church ST., Seymour to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Oxford. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
