BEACON FALLS and STRATFORD, CT: Marie Careddu age 87 of Beacon Falls, who resided for most of her life in Stratford, entered into peaceful rest December 19, 2010 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour; she was the beloved wife of the late Michael D. Careddu, Sr. Mrs. Careddu was born December 8, 1923 in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Shell) Sember. She was a retired Assembler and Time Keeper at General Electric Co. Marie enjoyed cooking, dancing, cruises, bus trips, and casino trips.

Marie leaves her loving family including 2 sons, Alan Careddu and his wife Anita of Beacon Falls, and Thomas Careddu and his wife Tina of Westbrook, ME, a daughter, Susan Boss and her husband James of Stratford, 11 grandchildren, Mark and James Boss, Patty, Dominique, Rachel, Danielle, Gabrielle, Crystal, Kenneth and James Careddu, and Denise Yousuf, 7 great grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
