Betty...by chance and for no apparent reason I decided one night to open the Hull Funeral Home web site...to my sadness I found the obituary for PeterI read it with growing sense of sorrow and thought of how difficult it must be for you and your family...how you all were adjusting to this grievous loss. No matter how prepared we may think we are for such a moment it is excruciatingly painful and disheartening despite one's faith and hope. I know that the pain can be almost unbearable and that we often may wish that we had had more time and might have done things differently...but that is not the way it ever is. Please know that Peter IS (not was) a good man and that he is truely in good hands now even though he will be missed terribly by all of you. Many times I have been asked..." how do I get over this loss...?" Betty....you NEVER get over the loss but your faith will help you live with it somehow. Words are never very satisfying at times such as these but I do remember something that has helped me in such moments and it may be helpful for you too... "God didn't promise days without pain...or laughter without sorrow...or the sun without rain....BUT HE did promise the strength for the day...Comfort for the tears...and Light for the Way " Grace be unto you and Peace...
