The Little Drummer Boy

Raymond was about 9 or 10 whwn i met him. I was (and still am) his sister Pattie's friend. I sspent a lot of time at their house, especially on summer vacations from school. One memory is still vivid to me and I'll never forget it. Ray was in a drum and bugle sorps and he played the drum with those big sticks with the ball at the end. They had a big round pool with a redwood deck. One hot summer day Pat and I were sunning ourselves on the eck and Ray decided to come up on the deck to practice his drumming. Naturally we told him to syop. Being the typical little brother he came right over to us and drummed some more finishing off with a whack on my head. I didn't see Ray much after he grew up and his sisters moved to Maine, but on the few occasions I did we always had some laughs reminiscing about the old days. I believe that Ray has been reunited with Craig and his other loved ones and is at peace I pray for peace ans comfort for his girls and the rest of his family through this vwey difficult time. Ray will live on in all of our hearts.
