Going to College with Bill

Dear Nancy, family, and friends: It is with deep sadness that I have learned about my old friend's death. I began college with Bill, lived in the same dorm, and we, along with his roommate Bill Olivier, and our mutual friend Steve Machunga, spent a good deal of time together freshman and sophomore years. A word that keeps coming to mind as I think about Bill today is ebullence. Bill embraced life, was excited about its possibilities, and had a serene sense that life was good. This made him a joy to be with. We enjoyed many hours playing Fussball at FU and got quite good at it, I would say. I have always hoped that we would have occasion to play together again and to share in the laughter which was ever part of our time together, but that will now have to wait for a later time and place. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to you all.
