Condolence: I was deeply saddened by the news of Bernie’s death. I worked with Bernie on several projects at Yale University and his professionalism and dedication was an inspiration. But mostly I will remember Bernie as a wonderful person.

Condolence: To all members of the greater Hayden family, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy for your loss. We know most members of the family, and will pray for all of you. To some extent we grew up with the family, meeting in 1964 and visiting frequently over the years. We will always remember the good times as well as the difficult times and will pray for you.

Condolence: Very few have a the great pleasure of working with a Father and son team. Both have meant the world to me. Bernie help me grow and Bernie Jr was the smiling brother I never had. They were both great guys to work and have fun.
Muriel remembers the great xmas parties at ADS where our families first met. Over the years we worked hard for Mother Yale and reminded me that Yale sometime could be a REAL Mother. But we always gave 110% and had fun doing it. Both men have been in my prayers and as part of my family they will always be in my prayers.

Rose has to be happy, she has both her boys with her. I am sorry we will not be there on Saturday, Muriel and I will be out of town as we get ready for our trip to Italy. So you can be sure, that I will put in a good word with the Pope when I see him.

We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of Bernie. I am honored to call someone so utterly devoid of the ability to do anything other than speak the truth my friend. His enthusiasm, work ethic, and unflinching determination serve as an example for us all. Though our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family the lessons learned by those lucky enough to have known him will live on.

I am very sorry and shocked to hear of the passing of Bernie. I worked in his department at Yale (MIS) in the early 1990's, and remember that he was always a friendly, respectful person. So sad for your loss.
