Obituary for Eugene Wetowitz

SEYMOUR, CT: Eugene Wetowitz, 71 of Tomlinson Road, entered into peaceful rest July 4, 2003 at the Griffin Hospital, Derby, he was the beloved husband of Dorothy (Chucta) Wetowitz. Mr. Wetowiitz was born July 17, 1931 in Mayfield, PA, son of the late Stephen and Evelyn (Newack) Wetowitz. He was a Seymour resident for sixty nine years, and was a communicant of the Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church, Ansonia. Eugene was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, and was a member of the David S. Miles Post 174, American Legion, Oxford. Eugene was a volunteer firefighter with the Great Hill Hose Company. He was a retired Technical Writer Supervisor from Sikorsky Aircraft, Stratford, and also he was a retired officer from the Seymour Police Department. Mr. Wetowitz fishing, and playing golf.
Besides his wife he leaves his loving family including a son Paul Wetowitz and his wife Vicki, a daughter Sharon Crowther, a brother Stephen Wetowitz, and four grandchildren, Melissa and Amanda Crowther, and Ryan and Renae Wetowitz all of Seymour.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. from the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour, to Three Saints Russian Orthodox Church for 10:00 a.m. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial gifts may be sent to either, the Three Saints Church, 26 Howard Ave., Ansonia, CT 06401, the American Cancer Society, P.O.
