Please accept my most sincere condolences on the loss of your daughter, sister, aunt and friend. I was employed as the emergency preparedness coordinator at the ESDHD for several years and, while our responsibilities were quite different, worked with Kathleen on a daily basis. Prior to that I was employed by the Branford Fire department and interacted with her on several incidents that required health department intervention. Kathleen had a great personality and was quite capable of making a difficult day much better. Whether it was the constant smile, her sense of humor, or a simple pat on the back, I knew that I could count on her to brighten my day. As a professional Kathleen treated the public with the utmost respect. She worked hard every day to ensure that people could live and work in a safe and healthy environment and that residents did not need to fear becoming ill from eating in a food establishment that she had inspected. May God bless her and those that she has left behind. Please know that despite the difficulties we all experience in losing a loved one, I hope that you will take comfort in knowing that she is in a better place. A place where there is no pain or suffering.
